Drive - An Ode to the S2000
The last week to ten days saw me regularly travelling in the passenger seat of the lovely BakPakChik's red racer. Funny sensation, as I was used to driving her wherever we went. As most of you know, the reason for this was my unhealthy back.
I found that I am a pretty bad 'side seat' driver, though the situation bettered as the week progressed. Today I finally got a chance to get back behind the wheel of my dejected roadster, who had not see tarmac for too many days.
How could I have gone without this for almost ten days!? Those luscious roundabouts and the sultry, curved roads tempted once again - and who am I to resist their calls!? It felt right to be behind the wheel once again, hugging those corners with a little bit of tail sliding action with a well placed tap of the throttle... yes, she was reborn, her menacing glare ejecting any in her path, the smooth snikity, snikt of the close ratio, six speed gearbox...
And all this on the way to work!? Tempting roads!? In this car, yes!
And there's more - winter is near, and that means she runs around topless - yeeaaay baby!
I love my blue beau - and I can thanks to my true love - the aforementioned BakPakChik!
Disclaimer: No, I do not see my car as a real woman, and yes I can tell the difference between a car and a woman. Thank You.
